Peter John has a diverse work experience with expertise in software engineering, data engineering, and full stack development. Peter is currently working as a Full Stack Engineer at Button since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Oracle from February 2020 to April 2022.
Before joining Oracle, Peter worked as a Senior Data Engineer at The Home Depot from June 2019 to November 2019. In this role, they were responsible for creating and maintaining data ingest pipelines and developing a lightweight Python library for background tasks.
From September 2018 to June 2019, they served as a Full Stack Developer at WarnerMedia, where they re-architected Node.js cron jobs into an event-driven serverless architecture.
Peter also has experience working at AT&T as a Design Engineer from February 2018 to August 2018, where they automated network equipment auditing and developed features for an internal Android application. Peter also proposed supervised classifiers for phone call data analysis.
As a Software Developer Intern at Cricket Wireless from May 2017 to August 2017, Peter designed and developed a real-time processing pipeline and APIs for usage analytics data.
During their internship at NTT from August 2016 to December 2016, Peter led a project to optimize machine learning models using neural networks.
Peter also interned at AT&T as an Intern, Capital Labor from May 2016 to August 2016, where they developed an application to process and analyze capital expense data and provided support for the new system.
Furthermore, Peter worked as a Teaching Assistant for Object Oriented Programming at the College of Computing at Georgia Tech from January 2016 to May 2016. Peter designed homework, provided feedback on code style, and assisted with recitation sessions.
Peter John attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
