Nick Nowlin

Nick Nowlin is a William H. McRaven National Security Fellow with Bravo Victor Venture Capital, or ‘BV,’ where he learns and advises on Portfolio Operations and School.House–the fund’s invite-only platform experience dedicated to National Security founders.

Before joining the Fund and contributing to School.House, Nick served as the Signals Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Program Manager of Naval Special Warfare Command under USSOCOM. His role was pivotal in training and deploying advanced technology solutions against our nation's adversaries. Nick managed the procurement of technology and training solutions focused on signals intelligence, electronic warfare, offensive cyber, unmanned systems, and other strategic capabilities. His diverse roles, including Contracting Officer’s Representative, Signals Intelligence Division Chief, and Regional Task Force Signals Intelligence Chief, allowed him to contribute significantly to some of the nation's most impactful Department of Defense operations over the last eight years.

By his retirement in December 2024, Nick will have served 21 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Before transitioning to special operations, Nick served various intelligence roles, such as Electronic Intelligence Analyst, Electronic Systems Engineer, Electronic Warfare Operator, and Information Operations Planner.

Nick is poised to leverage his extensive experience for the Fund and aspires to catalyze change in current and future government acquisition processes. His mission is to bridge the gap between the capabilities needed by warfighters and venture capital, identifying, accelerating, and deploying those solutions. With his deep understanding of the intelligence community, technology, government acquisitions, and years of operational experience, he is committed to ensuring investments in the right people and critical technologies.
