Douglas Norkus

Douglas Norkus is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in quality management, operational excellence, and leadership across multiple industries, including defense and nuclear sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate Quality at BWX Technologies, Inc. since March 2019, Norkus has developed a comprehensive organizational improvement strategy benefiting several operational sites supporting critical national institutions. Prior roles include Director of Quality Operations at Raytheon Australia, where Norkus established a Mission Assurance function, and a 27-year tenure at Lockheed Martin, where various leadership positions encompassed quality, operational excellence, and program management across several divisions. Norkus began a career in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer, building a strong technical foundation. Norkus holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
