David Demetriou-Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in the social services sector. David has also worked as a Learning and Development Consultant at National Fostering Group from October 2017 to January 2021, where they delivered training to foster carers and developed new training courses. David gained experience as a Supervising Social Worker at Orange Grove Fostercare from March 2014 to October 2017 and Foster Care Associates from June 2012 to March 2014.
David'searly work experience includes a role as a Support Worker at Core Assets Children's Services from December 2011 to March 2014, where they supervised contact sessions and conducted assessments. David also served as an Outreach Worker at DASH from October 2010 to June 2012, where they provided support to individuals dealing with drug addiction, alcohol abuse, sexual health, and mental health issues.
David Demetriou-Smith has a strong background in the field of social work, with multiple degrees and certifications. David obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Social Work from the University of Sydney, where they studied from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed another Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Social Work from The University of Salford, where they studied from 2009 to 2012.
In 2015 to 2016, David pursued further education at the University of Chester, focusing on Learning and Assessment in Practice, within the field of Social Work and L&D (Learning and Development).
Additionally, David Demetriou-Smith has recently obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services - Children and Young People's Management (England) (4978-52) from City & Guilds in February 2022.
