Shazana Zumpfe-Cochran

Shazana Zumpfe-Cochran is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in employee relations and investigations. Currently serving as the Lead for Global Employee Relations Investigations at ByteDance since August 2024, Shazana previously held the position of Principal for Global Employee Relations & Investigations at Open Society Foundations. Prior roles include Senior Partner at Twitter, where investigations were conducted for high-risk cases across multiple global regions, and Senior Manager at Amazon, where Shazana established the company's first accommodations program. Earlier career achievements include serving as Associate Director for EEO/Employee Relations at NYC Health + Hospitals, where responsibilities included drafting EEO policies and managing employee relations investigations. Shazana holds a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and an Advanced Internal Investigations Certification from Cornell University ILR School.
