Gabriel Lewenstein is a seasoned professional with a strong focus on communications, public affairs, and advocacy for the LGBTQ community. Currently serving as Senior Manager for North America Communications & Public Affairs at C40 Cities, Gabriel collaborates with major cities to push forward climate action initiatives. As President of the Stonewall Democrats of New York City, Gabriel represents the political interests of the LGBTQ community and champions various civil rights issues. Experience as Chief of Staff for Assembly Member Danny O'Donnell involved securing landmark legislative victories for LGBTQ rights and community support, while previous roles included Deputy Director for Community Affairs in the NYC Public Advocate’s office. Gabriel possesses a background in transportation and development policy communications, supplemented by relevant internships that emphasize environmental sustainability and urban planning. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tufts University.
