Zachary Tofias is a seasoned leader in sustainable urban development and climate change initiatives, currently serving as the Director of Food and Waste at C40 Cities since 2012. Tofias oversees programs that advance resource management, reduce emissions, and enhance urban resilience, previously holding roles such as Acting Director of Adaptation and Head of various initiatives including Urban Planning and Development and Sustainable Communities. Prior experience includes directing the Climate Positive Development Program at C40-CCI and program development at the Clinton Foundation’s Climate Initiative. Tofias holds an MBA in Sustainable Development and International Management from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a degree from Middlebury College.
