Doug Jones

Doug Jones is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in broadband and network architecture. Currently serving as a Principal Architect at CableLabs since April 2017, Doug specializes in optical projects such as PON and DOCSIS over RFoG, along with proactive network maintenance. Prior roles include Vice President of Access Technologies at Comcast Cable and Chief Cable Architect at BigBand Networks. Doug also has a strong consulting background with YAS Broadband and was involved with CableLabs in various capacities over several years. With an educational foundation that includes a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a BS in Medical Technology from the University at Albany, SUNY, Doug possesses a solid technical background complemented by industry experience spanning over three decades.
