Zachary Hayward

Zachary Hayward is an accomplished operations manager with extensive experience in the food production industry. Currently serving as the Finishing Operations Manager at Darn Tough Vermont® since July 2022, Zachary previously held the position of Director of Operations at Runamok Maple from December 2017 to July 2022. Prior to this, Zachary worked as Production Manager at Butternut Mountain Farm from September 2013 to December 2017 and served as Plant Manager at Highland Sugarworks from October 2005 to August 2013. Zachary began the professional journey as a Forest Health Monitoring Intern with the State of Vermont in 2005. Academically, Zachary holds a degree in Wildlands Ecology and Management with a focus on Sugar Maple Physiology and Production from Sterling College, attended from 2000 to 2004, and is currently furthering education at Tufts University since 1996.
