Maciej Drwal has extensive work experience in the field of operations research and software engineering. Maciej currently holds the position of Principal Operations Research Software Engineer at CAE, where they started in March 2022. Previously, they worked as a Principal Operations Research Engineer at Sabre Corporation from October 2019 to February 2022. Maciej also served as an Assistant Professor at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology from November 2016 to September 2021.
Prior to their role at Sabre Corporation, Maciej was the Chief Data Scientist at Open Tangerine from November 2018 to October 2019. Maciej also gained research experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Toronto in September and October 2018. Maciej started their career as a Software Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks from July 2009 to June 2010. Maciej also participated in the Google Summer of Code as a Software Developer in 2008.
Maciej Drwal earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in computer science from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in computer science from the same university, spanning from 2004 to 2009. In between, from 2008 to 2009, they pursued another MSc in computer science at Blekinge Institute of Technology.
