Lisa Hardy

Service Design Lead at Calgary Public Library

Lisa Hardy has a diverse work experience in the library field. Lisa started their career at Alberta Vocational College Lac La Biche as a Reference Librarian in 1996. Lisa then worked at the University College of the Cariboo as the Manager of the Williams Lake Campus Library from 1997 to 1999. After that, they joined Grande Prairie Public Library as an Administrative Librarian from 1999 to 2004. Lisa then joined Calgary Public Library and held various roles including Customer Service Manager, East and West Sector Manager, Facilities Design Lead, and currently as the Service Design Lead. In their current role, they are responsible for researching, developing, and implementing space and furniture design for CPL Library environments, including the new Central Library, Community Library renovations, Early Learning Centres, and four new library buildings.

Lisa Hardy completed university level coursework in the field of Interior Design at Yorkville University from 2020 to 2023. Prior to this, Lisa has completed a MLIS degree in Library Science from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Music from the University of Lethbridge.
