Brian Feng

Brian Feng is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the field of biomedical research. Currently serving as Principal Investigator at Calico Life Sciences since October 2020, Brian previously held positions as a Biologist at X, the moonshot factory, and Investigator III at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, where expertise included antibiotic lead discovery and both phenotypic and target-based screening. Prior experience includes a role as Investigator II at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on cell-based assay development and cancer biology, and as a graduate student at the University of California, San Francisco, where the thesis project examined chemical aggregation. Brian holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
