Jared Scherer

Jared Scherer has extensive experience in development, event management, and donor relations across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Donor Experience, Events & Travel and previously as Director of Donor Events & Development Communications at the California Academy of Sciences since February 2017, Jared has a significant background in leading multifaceted programs and events aimed at engaging alumni and stakeholders. Prior roles include Chief Program Officer at the Cal Alumni Association | UC Berkeley, Project Manager at SFMOMA, and Director of Development & Marketing at Project Open Hand. With an academic foundation comprising a Master's in Higher Education Administration from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Brandeis University, Jared demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing donor engagement and developing comprehensive event strategies.
