Ryan Endean

Ryan Endean has extensive experience in communications and media relations, currently serving as the Deputy Director of Communications at the California Department of Water Resources since September 2018, with previous roles including Assistant Deputy Director and Acting Deputy Director. Prior to this, Ryan held the position of Statewide Media Relations Director at the American Lung Association in California, where significant media coverage was generated for statewide advocacy efforts related to tobacco control and air quality. Ryan also worked as Communications Director at Blanning & Baker Associates, developing media programs for state employee organizations and producing award-winning documentaries. Earlier career experience includes news production at KCRA-TV. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from California State University-Sacramento.
