Mara Lynn Keller, PhD, has an extensive academic background with a focus on Philosophy, Religion, and Women’s Spirituality. Currently a Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies since 1993, Keller specializes in the Eleusinian Mysteries of Demeter and Persephone, the Mother and Daughter Goddesses of Ancient Greece. Prior to this role, Keller served as a Lecturer in Philosophy, Women's Studies, and Global Peace Studies at San Francisco State University from 1977 to 1996, where contributions included co-founding the Global Peace Studies program. Keller holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Religious Studies from Gettysburg College and both an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Yale University.
