Michele Demarco

Michele DeMarco, PhD, serves as the Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at the California Institute of Integral Studies since August 2018, bringing over 20 years of experience in mission-driven organizations, including higher education and non-profits. DeMarco is recognized for creating compelling brand narratives and enhancing stakeholder engagement, alongside a substantial background in research focusing on moral injury, ethics, trauma, and resilience. Additionally, DeMarco has held roles such as therapist, clinical ethicist, and adjunct faculty across various institutions and serves on the Board of Trustees at Soul Console. The educational pathway includes a PhD in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and multiple degrees in areas such as World Religion, Ethics, and Family Therapy from prestigious institutions including Boston University and Harvard University.
