Marjorie Buss is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Caltech since September 2018, following completion of a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering, expected in June 2024. Previously, Marjorie was a Visiting Researcher at the University of the Witwatersrand and an Undergraduate Researcher in the Metabolic Engineering Lab at MIT. Internships include positions at Merck and CEA, where Marjorie contributed to vaccine process development and microfluidic systems, respectively. Teaching experience includes participation in the Global Teaching Labs program, along with serving as a teaching assistant in chemical engineering at MIT. Marjorie's research expertise encompasses various lab techniques related to biosynthesis, polymeric electrodes, and gene therapy, supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Marjorie earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical-Biological Engineering from MIT in 2018 and graduated from Oakland Mills High School in 2014.
