Jeff Speakes has a diverse work experience in the field of economics. Jeff started their career as the Managing Director of Portfolio Risk Management at Countrywide in 1996 and eventually became the Senior Managing Director and Chief Economist. In 2008, they became the President of Kern Economics. Later, in 2009, they joined California Lutheran University as a Director of financial markets and a Lecturer in Economics. Jeff continued their teaching career at the university until 2012.
Jeff Speakes holds a BA in Economics, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Washington (1969-1972). Jeff went on to earn an MA in Statistics (1972-1975) and a PhD in Economics (1972-1978) from the University of California, Berkeley.
