Sinan Khan

Sinan Khan serves as the Associate Director, Response at the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office - Office of Emergency Management since May 2014, overseeing emergency management coordinators and directing responses to emergencies. Khan also holds positions as a Lieutenant in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, a Reviewer for the Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and a Lecturer at California State University-Long Beach. As an independent consultant, Khan focuses on emergency management and public health research and curriculum development for various institutions and federal partners. Previous roles include Director of Medical Countermeasures for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and Assistant Professor at Colorado Technical University. Educational qualifications include an MA in Security Studies, an MBA, an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and a BA in Biochemistry, with ongoing doctoral studies in Fire and Emergency Management Administration.
