Derek Lownsbrough

Derek Lownsbrough is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in cybersecurity and engineering leadership. Currently serving as the VP of Cybersecurity Solutions at Calix since February 2024, Derek previously held positions at Plume Design, Inc., Walleye Networks, and several other technology firms. As co-founder and CEO of Walleye Networks, Derek led the development of family online management technology, culminating in the company's acquisition by Plume Design. With a strong background in research and development, engineering management, and technical mentorship, Derek has also contributed to various startups as a Subject Matter Expert at Accelerate Okanagan. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Victoria.
