Dan Stokes

Dan Stokes is an accomplished Controls Engineer with extensive experience in designing, commissioning, and managing control systems across various industries. Currently serving at Calpine since July 2004, Dan holds roles including Interim Turbine Controls Engineering Manager, where responsibilities encompass the development of control strategies for Balance of Plant systems at multiple facilities throughout the United States. Prior to Calpine, Dan worked as a Senior Process Control Engineer at Standard Automation & Control LP, focusing on control system designs for gas and coal-fired operations. Dan's career began at Global Octanes, where significant contributions were made as both a Senior Control Systems/Instrument Engineer and an Instrument & Electrical Technician, including achieving Y2K compliance ahead of schedule. Educational achievements include a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Technology from the University of Houston, along with an Associate degree in Instrumentation from San Jacinto College.
