Mason Weld

Mason Weld is a skilled professional in commercial analytics with extensive experience in the energy and healthcare sectors. Currently at Calpine since January 2021, Mason has progressed through roles such as Commercial Analytics Specialist and Sr. Analyst, utilizing analytical expertise to drive decision-making. Prior to this, experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center included contributions to a COVID-19 Data Science Initiative and the development of optimization models for Radiology scheduling. Mason's analytical skills were further demonstrated during an internship at Vega Energy, where mathematical optimization models were created for natural gas trading activities. Mason holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics, both from Rice University.
