David Gold

David Gold is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in portfolio management and investment strategy. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at CalSTRS since 2015, Gold oversees a diverse portfolio focusing on investment grade, high yield, emerging markets, and private credit, managing approximately $11 billion in assets. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Guggenheim Partners, handling structured credit investments, and co-founding Centre Pacific, LLC, where Gold managed fixed income assets. Other notable positions include Vice President at Transamerica and Assistant Vice President at Duff & Phelps, with early experience at Moody's Investors Service. David Gold holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from The George Washington University.
