Sarah Visser

EVP, Student Experience & Strategy at Calvin University

Sarah Visser has been working in the field of education for over fifteen years. Sarah started their career as an Associate Dean of Campus Life at Pomona College, where they served for six years. In 2009, they became the Department Chair of Leadership and Organizational Psychology at Azusa Pacific University, where they served for six years. In 2015, they became the VP for Student Life at Calvin University, their current position. Sarah is passionate about helping students succeed both academically and personally, and they have dedicated their career to supporting them in every way possible.

Sarah Visser received their Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Claremont Graduate University. Sarah also has a Master of Education in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Calvin University. Additionally, Sarah has received certification from Claremont Graduate University in Gender and Women's Studies and Certificate of College Teaching, as well as certification from DePaul University in Prior Learning Assessment.

Sarah Visser reports to Michael K. Le Roy, President. They are on a team with Mary Hulst - Chaplain, Michelle Loyd-Paige - EA to the President for Diversity, and Gregory Elzinga - VP, Advancement.
