Thomas Ireland

Thomas Ireland is an accomplished analytical chemist with extensive experience in research and laboratory management. Currently serving as a Senior Analytical Chemist and previously as a Senior QC Analyst I at Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. since October 2021, Thomas has also contributed to Boston University from February 2012 to October 2021 as a Research Scientist and Laboratory Manager, overseeing ICP-MS and ICP-OES operations while mentoring students. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Laboratory Manager at the University of Chicago from September 2009 to January 2012, focusing on rare-earth elements in meteorites and HPLC system development. Thomas holds a PhD in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Maryland and a BS in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Alberta.
