Richie Yeung

Quantum Software Scientist at Cambridge Quantum Computing

Richie Yeung began their career in 2017 as a Design Engineer at Argon Design Ltd, where they investigated techniques in Optical Metrology for imaging small reflective objects. Richie wrote software to generate point clouds and meshes using Ray-Plane Triangulation and Structured Light techniques. In 2018, they joined Bloomberg LP as a Software Engineering Intern, where they created a Comdb2 storage backend for Hashicorp Vault, a secret management system. Richie also developed a plugin system to allow different backends without modifying the Vault binary and implemented a distributed lock in a transactional OCC database. In 2019, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at GSA Capital, where they developed an automated hedging system, a new automated hedging algorithm, and wrote a backtest simulation for the new hedging strategy to estimate its effect on P&L. Currently, they are employed as a Quantum Software Scientist at Cambridge Quantum Computing.

Richie Yeung began their educational journey in 2011 at Rugby School. Richie then attended the University of Cambridge from 2016 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science. Richie then went on to pursue an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Oxford, which they completed in 2020.
