Mr. José holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with a specialization in industrial systems from SenRio Petrobras / – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He is currently a member of the board of SupreBac Biotechnology Solutions S.A., São Salvador Alimentos S.A. and chairman of the Boards of Directors of SEMAPA SGPS S.A. and SODIM SGPS S.A. (Lisbon).

As one of the largest companies in the food sector in Brazil, their brands are Camil, Coqueiro and União. Their operations also reach Latin America. There are 27 factories, 11 in Brazil, nine in Uruguay, three in Chile, three in Peru and one in Argentina. In addition, they have 15 distribution centers, all located in strategic positions, close to major consumption centers.
