Gary Hill

VP of Mission Integration at CAMILLUS HOUSE INC

Brother Gary Hill is a member of the religious congregation of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God. He is responsible for mission integration and the Day Center program. Prior to joining Camillus House in early 2015, Brother Gary served homeless men in La Maison du Père in Montreal, Canada. Over the past 30 years, he has held diverse leadership positions in healthcare missions sponsored by the Brothers of St. John of God in California including serving as president & CEO of St. John of God Health Care Services and St. Joseph Health and Retirement Center Foundation. Brother Gary holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Development from Chapman College in Orange, California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Therapy from California State University in Los Angeles, California. Brother Gary has also served as Prior, Provincial Councilor, and Vocational Director within the Brothers of St. John of God.

Camillus House has provided humanitarian services to the indigent and homeless populations of Miami-Dade County, Florida for more than 50 years, growing from a small overnight shelter into a full service center offering a full “continuum of care” for persons who are poor and homeless. Every service offered at Camillus is carried out with the deeply held belief that every human being is precious in the eyes of the Lord and deserves love, respect and a chance to live a dignified life.
