Ali Ghiassi

Ali Ghiassi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government relations and policy advisory roles. Currently serving as the Vice President of Industry Affairs and Government Relations at Canada Life since July 2018, Ghiassi has also held significant positions including Chief of Staff at the Ontario Ministry of Finance and the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Additionally, Ghiassi was Vice President, General Counsel and Public Affairs at Mohawk College and has experience as an Adjunct Professor in Political Science at McMaster University. Ghiassi's educational background includes a Master of Law (LL.M.) in Constitutional Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Windsor, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto. Furthering professional development, Ghiassi completed an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School in 2022.
