Raymund Arzaga

Raymund Arzaga is an accomplished leader in data governance and analytics with extensive experience across multiple financial institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Data & AI Governance at Canada Life since July 2024, Raymund provides leadership and oversight for data and AI initiatives. In addition, Raymund works as a Principal Consultant at Apex Quantum Research and Consulting Services, where focus is placed on delivering impactful data strategy and governance programs. Previously, Raymund held the position of Head of Data Governance and Reporting at Rogers Bank, establishing comprehensive data governance policies and procedures. At Scotiabank, tenure spanned nearly eight years, during which Raymund directed data risk oversight and policy adherence, contributing to the development of enterprise-level data management policies. Earlier in the career, Raymund led wealth management processing and compliance efforts at Meridian Credit Union. Raymund's educational background includes specialized courses from The Investment Funds Institute of Canada.
