Shannon Tan

Shannon Tan currently serves as a Digital Communications Specialist at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) since August 2023, and previously held the position of Communications Coordinator, focusing on corporate, stakeholder, and media communication. Prior experience includes serving as a Communications Assistant at Infrastructure Canada, leading Diversity and Inclusion communications. Shannon co-founded Kynd.of Bakery, managing social media as part of a small business initiative. Experience also includes a Marketing Intern role at the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto, where audience engagement dramatically increased, and various positions during studies at York University, contributing to marketing efforts and student programming. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from York University and completed Canadian Pre-University coursework at Taylor's College.
