Matthew Hogel has extensive experience in research and data analysis, currently serving as the Manager of Funding Analytics at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research since September 2016. In this role, Matthew provides direction on research program analysis and monitoring, focusing on analytical plan implementation and result interpretation. Prior to this, Matthew worked as a Research Associate at Bruyere Continuing Care, supporting clinical research, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa, overseeing projects in microbiology. Earlier experience includes conducting molecular and behavioral experiments related to epilepsy during a summer position at Carleton University. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology/Neurosciences from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Life Sciences (Honours) from Queen's University.
