Salim El Bouzidi, Ph.D., P.Eng. is an accomplished R&D scientist and engineer currently serving as Section Head at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories since September 2018, focusing on valve leakage detection technologies and Monte Carlo techniques for structural integrity assessments. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at McMaster University from September 2014 to July 2018, where research involved numerical modeling and experimental investigation of flow-sound-structure interactions in spring-loaded valves, and at the University of Guelph from May 2012 to August 2014, studying flow-induced vibrations in heat exchanger tube bundles. Salim El Bouzidi holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, a Master of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. Educational background also includes a high school diploma from Lycée Lyautey au Maroc.
