Daniele Chiappe is a nanotechnology engineer currently working at Canatu Oy since February 2024. Previously, Daniele served as a senior process development engineer at NexWafe from February 2023 to February 2024, focusing on advancing epitaxial processes for kerfless silicon wafer production in the solar industry. At ASM, during the period from July 2018 to August 2022, Daniele held the position of principal process engineer, advancing atomic layer deposition processes for nanoscale component production. Daniele’s earlier experience includes roles as a senior process engineer at imec, researcher specializing in thin-film technologies, and postdoctoral researcher focusing on large-area synthesis of 2D materials. Additional experience includes a postdoctoral position at MDM Laboratory, work on silicene synthesis within the EU research project 2D-NANOLATTICES, and internships at CNISM and ESRF. Daniele holds a PhD in Materials Science and a Master's degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Genova.
