Ivana Petrovska

Ivana Petrovska is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in scientific research and public engagement. Currently serving as a Research Programme Manager (Discovery Science) at Cancer Research UK since September 2017, Ivana has also held the position of Science Communications Manager. Previous roles include Science Educator at The Francis Crick Institute and Science Outreach Lead at Cancer Research UK London Research Institute, where Ivana successfully led science outreach initiatives and collaborated with public engagement teams. Ivana's research background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute, focusing on stress-induced protein assemblies in yeast models, and a PhD from Tufts University that investigated the invasive growth of the Candida albicans pathogen. Early career experience also includes a research assistantship at Harvard Medical School, examining cell division in Escherichia coli. Ivana holds a PhD in Genetics from Tufts University and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from Hampshire College.
