Dr. Jan Urbahn

Dr. Jan Urbahn is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product integrity, safety, and compliance. Currently serving as Senior Manager at Canoo since January 2022, Dr. Urbahn also founded and leads Urbahn Enterprise. Previous roles include key positions at Lyft, where responsibilities focused on safety and compliance related to Li-Ion battery development, and BMW of North America, where leadership spanned several units including car sharing services and safety engineering. Dr. Urbahn's background in advanced research is emphasized by contributions to CERN and DESY, complemented by a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from Goethe University Frankfurt and a Diplom in Elementary Particle Physics from Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.
