Monty Hayes

Monty Hayes is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in high voltage electronics and electrification. Currently serving as Director of High Voltage Electronics Engineering at Canoo since April 2022, Monty has previously held significant leadership roles at BorgWarner, where responsibilities included Global Director of Electronics Hardware Growth and Innovation and Global Director of Electrification Engineering. Prior to that, Monty was with Delphi Technologies as Global Director of Electrification Engineering, and held various key positions at Delphi over a span of more than two decades, including Chief Engineer of Advanced Powertrain Technologies. Monty's early career included roles at Motorola Semiconductor and Virginia Tech, where contributions as a senior research associate and electrical engineer were notable. Monty holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
