Mary Ellen Sheehan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Mary Ellen began their career in 2000 as a Client Services Administrator at Merrion Capital Group, where they worked until 2003. Mary Ellen then transitioned to the role of Accounts Assistant at the same company from 2003 to 2006.
In 2006, Sheehan took on the position of Equity Research Assistant at Merrion Capital Group. This role lasted until 2008, at which point they became a Compliance Officer within the same company from 2008 to 2010.
After that, they joined Merrion Capital Group again, but this time as Head of Client Services. Mary Ellen held this position for a significant period from 2010 to 2018.
In 2018, Sheehan switched companies and worked as a Compliance Officer at Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland until 2019. Mary Ellen then moved on to Adrian Lee & Partners – Active Asset and Currency Management as Head of Risk Management from 2019 to 2021.
Sheehan returned to Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland in 2023 and held two roles simultaneously: Head of Investment Products & Client Asset Manager, as well as Client Assets Manager.
Throughout their career, Sheehan has accumulated a wealth of experience in various aspects of the financial industry, ranging from client services and compliance to risk management and investment products.
Mary Ellen Sheehan holds a Professional Diploma in Compliance from ACOI. Additionally, they have obtained a Diploma in Risk Management Internal Audit & Compliance from Chartered Accountants Ireland. Furthermore, they hold a Professional Certificate in Financial Advice from IOB.
