Mike Lappano is an experienced engineering professional specializing in Radio Frequency (RF) and communications systems. Currently serving as the Director of RF & Comms Systems Engineering at Capella Space since October 2018, Mike has previously held positions such as RF Systems Lead and Staff RF Engineer within the same company. Prior to this, Mike worked at SSL (Space Systems Loral) from June 2014 to October 2018 as a Senior RF Systems Engineer and Technical Lead for payload test and verification on various communications satellites. Mike's earlier experience includes serving as an RF/Electrical Design Engineer at ARTEMIS, Inc., focusing on radar subsystems and diverse engineering disciplines. Mike began a career as an RF Engineer at RJM Wireless in 2006. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and completed extended studies at UC San Diego in 2015-2016.
