Rob Smith

Rob Smith serves as the Newsletter Editor at Capital B since October 2023. Previously, Rob held the position of Managing Director at The Pudding, overseeing editorial operations and strategy for a data journalism team. Key achievements at The Pudding included enhancing production workflows, commissioning freelance contributions, and establishing an audience engagement role. Rob's experience also includes a role as a Senior Research Editor for TED Conferences, where responsibilities involved advising nonprofits and scripting video series, and as an Archivist and Librarian at Gagosian, managing collections and intern programs. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Syracuse University and two master's degrees from Pratt Institute in Library & Information Science and in the Theory, Criticism, and History of Art, Design and Architecture.
