Stephen Connor, PhD, serves as the Executive Director of The Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance since January 2016, advocating for universal access to palliative care globally. In addition, Stephen has been a Senior Research Fellow at Capital Caring since January 2010, contributing expertise to the largest hospice provider in the Washington DC area. Previously, Stephen has held roles as an International Palliative Care Consultant with the Open Society Foundations and as a Senior Fellow with the Worldwide Palliative Care Alliance, focusing on palliative care development in various regions including Eastern Europe and Africa. Stephen's earlier career includes serving as Vice President for Research and International Development at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Stephen holds a PhD in Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology in California, as well as an MA and BA in Psychology from Antioch University.
