Ken MacKenzie

Ken MacKenzie has extensive work experience in software engineering and technology roles. Ken is currently employed as a Principal Software Engineer at Capital Rx since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Majority Owner at Mack-Z Solutions, where they specialized in configuring custom Linux implementations and creating web solutions using PHP and MYSQL based systems.

Ken has also worked at Optum as a Lead Software Engineer and Data Operations Engineer from April 2019 to June 2021. During their time at Optum, they were responsible for developing software and working with data operations.

Before Optum, Ken worked at the North Carolina Community College System Office as a Business and Technology Application Analyst, where they were involved in creating custom data lake systems, developing Python automation tools, and programming against SQL Server and Sybase.

In addition, Ken has experience as an Owner and Senior Systems Engineer at Raleigh Music.com, where they focused on web design and support using PHP and MYSQL systems. Ken also worked as a Programmer/Analyst at Affiliated Computer Services, Inc and Family Health International, where they developed and modified applications using Envision Basic, Visual Basic, and Oracle.

Ken began their career as a Co-op Application Developer Consultant at Innovex, Inc and as a Computer Lab Technician and Tutor at County College of Morris.

Ken MacKenzie has a degree in Computer Science major from William Patterson University. Ken also has a degree in Humanities Matriculate from County College of Morris. Additionally, they attended Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University and studied Mechanical Engineering.
