Capital University
Vincent Parisi is currently a Trustee at Capital University. Vincent has a long history of working in emergency management, dating back to their time with FEMA Region V from June 1999 to June 2008. In their role as Regional Continuity Manager, Vincent was responsible for coordinating and managing continuity programs at the federal, state, and local levels to ensure the mission-essential functions of government could continue in the event of an emergency.
Some of Vincent's key accomplishments during their time with FEMA include: successfully managing the FEMA Region V continuity site; training more than 300 emergency managers and first responders on the National Response Framework; chairing and coordinating over 20 Chicago and Detroit Federal Executive Board Continuity Working Group meetings; and coordinating plans for test, training, and exercises. Additionally, Vincent has presented at emergency management conferences in France and Italy, and was instrumental in negotiating the development of the Italian chapter of the International Association of Emergency Managers - the first affiliate outside of the United States.
Thanks to their wealth of experience and expertise in emergency management, Vincent has been able to make a positive impact at Capital University and help ensure the safety of its students, faculty, and staff.
Vincent Parisi has a Masters in Water Resource Management from Duke University and a BA in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University.
