Rick Crawford

Rick Crawford is an experienced business development executive currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at CapitalG, Alphabet's independent growth fund, since February 2024. Prior to this role, Rick held various positions at Google from February 2018 to February 2024, including Vice President of Business Development and Head of Customer Engineering for Retail. Rick has a diverse background in software engineering and consulting, including roles as VP of Software Engineering at Westfield Retail Solutions, Founder of Typeahead, and multiple positions at Walmart Global Tech. Rick began their career in sales engineering roles at Endeca and Plumtree Software, and has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
