Sandra leads all Capital Power’s financial functions including Treasury, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax and Investor Relations. She is also responsible for our Enterprise Risk Management processes.
Before her current role, Sandra served for over 2 years as the Vice President, Finance and Treasury during which time she raised $1.2 billion in debt and equity financing. In her previous role, Sandra was Vice President, Forecasting and Analytics responsible for Capital Power’s Budget & Forecasts, Corporate Financial Projections, Valuations, and Market Assessment and Forecasting functions. Sandra has been with Capital Power since the IPO in 2009 at which time she served as the Controller. She was also accountable for the Capital Power Finance Development and Accreditation Program, which recruits accounting graduates and provides work experience and study support for a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Sandra has over 30 years of financial experience.

Capital Power Corporation is a North American power producing company. The Company develops, acquires, operates and optimizes power generation from a range of energy sources. The Company is engaged in the operation of electrical generation facilities within Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, and in the United States, including North Carolina, New Mexico and Kansas. It also holds a portfolio of wind and solar development sites in the United States. It owns over 3, 200 megawatts (MW) of power generation capacity at approximately 20 facilities across North America and owns approximately 370 MW of capacity through its interest in the Sundance C power purchase arrangement (Sundance PPA). It also owns natural gas, wind, and solid fuel facilities and has a range of generation facilities in development or construction in Canada and the United States.
