John Foster

John Foster is a seasoned data scientist currently employed at Capture Higher Ed since July 2015, where responsibilities include managing the delivery of predictive models for partner university admissions offices and training fellow data scientists. Prior experience includes serving as a statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau from 2012 to July 2015, focusing on the 2012 Economic Census, and a research fellow at Vittana in 2011, where John led a market assessment of student loans in developing countries. Additional experience includes volunteer work at Hogar de Esperanza and a staff writer/photographer role at the Oldham Era newspaper from 2005 to 2009. John holds an MA in International Development and Agricultural Economics from the College of Business and Economics/School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky and a BS in Integrated Strategic Communications from the same institution.
