Joseph Willenborg currently serves as a Research Associate at Carbon Direct since February 2024. Prior to this role, Joseph worked at ERM from January 2020 to June 2023, progressing from Associate to Senior Associate and finally to Manager in the Climate Change division, where responsibilities included overseeing a team and leading project development related to corporate climate initiatives. Joseph's experience encompasses the assessment of corporate environmental inventories, conducting climate-related risk assessments aligned with TCFD, and supporting clients with decarbonization plans. Earlier roles included internships and positions at organizations such as As You Sow, Environmental Science Associates, and Avanti Corporation, with a strong foundation in environmental research and education. Joseph holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Carleton College.
