Patricia Smith currently serves as the Electricity Decarbonization Lead at Carbon Direct, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Patricia was the Decarbonization and Energy Transition Lead at Anthesis Group from June 2023 to September 2024 and worked at RF CUNY from January 2020 to January 2023, focusing on sustainability research, decarbonization, energy policy, and next-generation infrastructure. Earlier in their career, Patricia structured solar power purchase agreements at Borrego Solar Systems and held multiple positions in energy trading and marketing, including Vice President at Credit Suisse and Originator Marketer at Powerex Corp. Patricia holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Studies from The City College of New York and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria.
