Heather Smith is an Associate in Climate Policy and Finance at The Carbon Trust since January 2024, bringing extensive experience in environmental policy from previous roles, including Senior Policy Advisor with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Policy Advisor with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Smith has also functioned as a Geography and Biology Tutor and a Sustainability Analyst, with early involvement in the Cambridge Climate Lecture Series as a committee member. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cambridge.
