Iain McDonald

Iain McDonald has extensive experience in the field of geochemistry, currently serving as a Professor of Geochemistry at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd since October 2011, where previous roles included Reader, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in Geochemistry. Prior to this, Iain McDonald worked as a Research Geochemist at Cardiff University from 2001 to 2011 and as a Lecturer in Geochemistry at the University of Greenwich from 1996 to 2001. Earlier academic experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Manchester from 1993 to 1995. Iain McDonald earned a PhD in Geology from the University of Cape Town in 1993 and a BSc Joint Hons in Chemistry and Geology from the University of Glasgow in 1989.
